Review unsuccessful visa applications

Unsuccessful visa applications may be reviewable by a tribunal. Merits review is an administrative reconsideration of a case. The tribunal makes decisions within the same legislative framework as the primary decision maker (case officer of the DIBP), and may exercise all the powers and discretions conferred on the primary decision maker.
